Diary 70 - Pixiebob

September 22^nd

Makené's kittens have been born on Sunday September 22nd.
Two males with nice spots and poly feet.
The first has a perfect tail and is poly on all four.
The second has a bobcat tail and is poly at his front feet.
They are very cuddly and sweet. Makené is a caring mother for the little ones.

Menetoh's kittens have been born on Wednesday September 15th.
It was a very tough delivery for her, this has been her third and last litter.
We have started the delivery. There were no contractions so we took an ultrasound just to be sure and everything was fine.
The hearts were beating and they moved a lot.
At Wednesday we called the vet in Genk, one says that, the other says something else...
Because Menetoh was ready I have together with Nele decided to get the kittens, especially when there were no kittens born after her water broke.
The delivery took the whole afternoon and she stayed with Nele the whole time. With the third kitten we even considered a caesarean because it didn't come out. Eventually it was born through the natural way and when we thought the fourth was the last one a fifth one came out.
There is again a kitten with no tail but further he is perfect and he moves a lot.
His back and spine are looking fine.
The next three weeks will tell if the nerves transfer the signals properly but looking at the back legs and how he crawls forward it is looking fine, but he won't be sold.
Mother Makené and grandmother Menetoh are looking after the kittens together, the biggest ones are from Makené. We have made a couple of videos.
Pukkie is there as well.
They eat in turns, it's very sweet to see how seven kittens are taken care of by two mothers.
When the kittens are 12 weeks old Menetoh will be altered and she can just as her mother Reighn enjoy a well deserved rest.
